Citizen Charter
Chelakkara Grama Panchayat Citizen Charter is an important document that contains comprehensive information about the services, rights, responsibilities, and grievance redressal mechanisms provided by the Grama Panchayat to the public. The document explains in detail the functions of the Gram Sabha, the development and welfare activities undertaken by the Panchayat, the certificates and licenses available to the public, and the procedures for obtaining information under the Right to Information Act.
The document also includes the responsibilities and services carried out by the Panchayat in various sectors such as agriculture, water conservation, healthcare, education, social welfare, poverty eradication, women and child welfare, and the development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. In addition, it explains the Service Rights Act, which ensures that services such as birth, death, and marriage registration, certificate issuance, and trade licenses are provided within a specified time frame.
